Mark Murakami leads the Tokyo Tsunamis with the patience, loyalty, and competitive spirit of a lifelong Portland sports fan. That approach produced a 10–5 record in 2025, the league’s No. 2 regular-season seed, 1,798.46 points, and a first-place finish in Division C—giving the Tsunamis one of the strongest foundations entering Season Five.

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Mark remains a devoted Portland Trail Blazers fan. He is married and a proud father whose son is a promising baseball player with ambitions of reaching Major League Baseball one day. Between family, basketball, baseball, and the demands of running the Tsunamis, Mark’s sports calendar is never short on action.

The Tsunamis defend Fakkuofu Stadium, a 135,000-seat Tokyo Bay super-stadium built on an almost impossible scale. Five seating decks rise around the field beneath twin wave-shaped roof canopies and a glowing rising-sun oculus. Water walls thunder beside the entrance, cyan light rolls across the bay, and the largest crowd in the Legacy league delivers one unmistakable warning: ride the wave—or get out of its way.
